at-social.social (the "Site") Effective Date: August 16, 2026

at-social.social is operated by Seranya Beck (operating name; full legal name held privately) ("we," "us," or "our"), a sole proprietor based in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. By using this Site, you agree to these Terms of Use.

This Site is a marketing property — a platform-fee calculator and mailing list signup. It is separate from the @-Social™ Platform (at-social.com), which has its own Terms of Service governing accounts, creator storefronts, and transactions. Nothing in these Terms applies to the Platform, and nothing in the Platform's Terms applies here.

1. What This Site Does

This Site is a single static page with three functions: a platform-fee calculator, an email signup form, and static informational content (including the pledges and Anti-Lock-In Covenant described in Section 4). This Site does not sell anything. There is no checkout, no payment processing, and no products or services offered for purchase here. If that changes in the future, we will update these Terms before any sale takes place, and different terms will govern that transaction.

2. The Fee Calculator

2.1 What it does

The calculator lets you enter your own annual revenue and average order value and see an estimate of what a selected platform's published fees would total on those figures. The calculator performs this calculation entirely from the numbers you type in — it does not access, assert, or reference your actual sales history on any platform. The result is an estimate based on your inputs and each platform's publicly stated fee structure, not a report of what you were actually charged.

2.2 Where the figures come from

The fee figures are each platform's own published rates, researched as of August 2026 from public pricing and help pages. Where a platform has multiple pricing tiers, the tier most favourable to the creator is used — meaning the calculator's estimates tend to understate, not overstate, what a given platform actually takes across its full range of tiers. As one example, Amazon KDP is calculated at its 70%-royalty tier, even though books priced outside the $2.99–$9.99 window fall to a tier where Amazon keeps a larger share.

The following costs are excluded from every calculation, and would make real-world costs higher than the figures shown: advertising placement fees, creator or affiliate commissions, fulfillment costs, currency conversion fees, and payout or withdrawal fees.

2.3 Rates change — how we keep this current

We re-verify every platform's rates on an automated quarterly schedule (first scheduled run: November 1, 2026) and update both the calculator and the "verified [Month Year]" date shown on the page. We keep a dated internal record of each re-verification run, including what changed and the source consulted, as our own evidence trail — available on request.

Fees change. Verify current rates directly with any platform before making a decision based on this calculator. The calculator is provided for general informational and comparative purposes only and is not financial, tax, or business advice.

2.4 Platform names

The platforms named and compared on this Site (including Etsy, Gumroad, Patreon, Shopify, Substack, TikTok Shop, Amazon, Amazon KDP, YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Shop, and Ko-fi) are used solely to identify and compare their publicly stated fee structures. Any trademarks, logos, or names belong to their respective owners. This comparison does not imply that any named platform endorses, sponsors, or is affiliated with @-Social or this Site.

3. Email Signup

Submitting the email signup form is voluntary and subject to our Privacy Notice, which explains what we collect and how. You may unsubscribe at any time.

4. The Pledges and the Anti-Lock-In Covenant

This Site publishes two related, but separate, sets of public commitments about how the @-Social Platform will operate once it opens to creators: a set of Pledges (of which 0% commission is one), and the Anti-Lock-In Covenant, described below.

Both describe the standard @-Social commits to meet once it opens to creators; neither is a description of functionality available today. The @-Social Platform (at-social.com) is not yet open, and no product currently exists through which a commission of any kind could be charged.

4.1 The 0% Commission Pledge

Among the Pledges published on this Site: @-Social will not take a percentage of what creators earn on the Platform. Creators keep 100% of their sales revenue, and creators — not @-Social — decide whether and how much commission to offer any affiliate ("DOT-filiate") who refers a sale.

4.2 The Anti-Lock-In Covenant

Separately from the Pledges, the Anti-Lock-In Covenant's five commitments are:

Data portability. A one-click export of a creator's data will be available at any time, at no charge.
Storefront redirect. Links on a creator's @-Social storefront will redirect to wherever that creator has gone for at least twelve months after they leave the Platform, for as long as @-Social is operating. This commitment applies to URLs on the @-Social Platform itself; it does not extend to custom domains or destinations @-Social does not control.
No exclusivity. Creators are never required to publish exclusively on @-Social.
No hostage features. No feature will be withheld to discourage a creator from leaving.
90 days' notice. Creators will receive at least 90 days' notice before any material change to these terms takes effect for them.

These are forward-looking commitments tied to the Platform's eventual launch. We treat them as binding once the Platform opens, and we will not water them down by omission — if a commitment needs to change, we will say so plainly rather than letting it quietly lapse.

5. Intellectual Property

@-Social™ and PHULOS™ are trademarks of Seranya Beck / Animate The Story™. The content, design, and branding of this Site also belong to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any of the foregoing without our permission, except for the platform trademarks referenced under Section 2.4, which are used solely for identification purposes and belong to their respective owners.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

This Site and the fee calculator are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the calculator's estimates match what you will actually be charged by any platform. Use of the calculator's output for business or financial decisions is at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this Site or reliance on the calculator's estimates.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above. If we begin selling anything through this Site, we will publish updated terms covering that sale before it becomes available.
